Providing a strong, Biblical education is a worthy goal for every church that seeks to know more about God. We are grateful to have the opportunity to provide classes for all age groups. Here are three reasons why it is important for a family to be involved in Sunday School:

Reason #13 for bringing the family to Sunday School: We want our children’s best friends to be Christians. Not the only friends, but friends that can help one another stay on the pathway of living for Jesus. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man (or child) sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17).

Reason #14 for bringing the family to Sunday School: We want our children to be Biblically literate. Consider God’s words to Moses: “Assemble the people in my presence to listen to my words so that they will learn to fear me in holy fear for as long as they live on the land, and then they will teach these same words to their children” (Deuteronomy 4:10). We bear a responsibility to teach our children to walk in God’s ways: “Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). While Sunday School is not a substitute for proper Christian parenting, it supports the Christian family by offering Biblical instruction that is consistent and constructive.

Reason #15 for bringing the family to Sunday School: We want our children to know sound doctrine, so that they are not easily deceived. “…we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth” (Ephesians 4:14).

Our children’s classes are designed to give a grasp of God’s Word at a level that they can understand. The class curriculum covers the entire Bible in a span of three years, making regular attendance a plus for spiritual growth and development.

We also offer Adult Classes:

Understanding the Christian Life.  Want to know what God’s up to in your life?  What He expects?  What resources He offers?  No one understands everything about the Christian life, but the information taught here will give a better handle on what it’s all about, what God’s goals are generally, and how He’s going to get us there.  Knowing more about God’s character, ways, and plans for His people, plus His resources and gifts, make life and decision making easier.  This class is open to all adults.

Elective: The Book of Luke.  Luke presents Jesus as Son of Man, the true and perfect man who lived as the only sinless One among sinners, suffering death for them on the cross. Luke describes in great detail the birth of the Son of God, His childhood, His obedience towards Mary and Joseph, and His growth among men and before God. The Holy Spirit’s purpose in this Gospel may be found in the words spoken by the Romans centurion under the cross: “This man really was righteous!” (Luke 23:47).
